Command Slots

Command Slots are a new variable to a character in FFCC,
and allow greater versatility in terms of battle
preparation than the typical d20 magic system.

Command Slots, physically, are small sockets in the armor,
clothing, weapons, and other items that a character has.
They are small enough so that a piece of refined (or
condensed) magicite can be placed inside.  The number that
a person can actually access at one time is limited by
their level, equipment, and class abilities.  See

Magicite (Also called Magicite and Materia) comes in many
varieties, the two most common of which are Magic and
Weapon.  Magic magicite lets you, you guessed it, cast
spells!  See the Magic file for more information on this.

Weapon Magicite is required to use focus attacks, and can
also allow 'quick swapping' of a weapon:  A weapon with a
bonded magicite equipped can be taken out of 'Weapon space'
at almost any moment, instead of rummaging through your
backpack for it.

A few more odd types of Magicite are Blue Magicite and
Wondrous Magicite.  Blue Magicite is used to store, and
cast, blue 'magic'.  Wondrous Magicite is about as
specific as wondrous items: They can do just about
anything and everything, although the processing and
manufacturing of such magicite is difficult.
